We are a grassroots Nepali NGO working since 2009 to improve quality of education, invest in the future of young people, and support community livelihood programmes in partnership with national and international organisations.
Who we are
We are a compassionate online community dedicated to making a real difference in people's lives. At NSF, everyday individuals come together to offer and receive support—whether through kind words during tough times, practical resources in moments of need, shared advice, mutual aid, or simply a listening ear. Founded on the belief that no one should face life's challenges alone, we foster connections that build hope, resilience, and lasting change, one act of kindness at a time. Together, we're proving that small gestures from caring people can create powerful ripples of positive impact.
Our Programs
Our programmes are designed with a core goal to improve the quality of education in rural Nepal. Whether it is through the Saathi Teachers Programme, where we believe building a strong primary foundation is the key, or by providing essential educational resources through School in a Bag, every initiative is a step toward empowering students. Our Scholarship Programme further supports deserving youth to pursue higher education. The Greenhouse Initiative strengthens the livelihoods of students’ families and communities, while our Volunteering Programme brings in fresh perspectives and global connections.
Nepal Greenhouse program
Launched to support rural livelihoods in the face of climate change, the Nepal Greenhouse Program combines government subsidies, NGO partnerships, and local cooperative efforts to make protected farming accessible even to marginalised and remote communities.
SEE Program Nepal
Managed centrally by the National Examination Board (NEB) through its Office of the Controller of Examinations, the SEE is a standardized, high-stakes yet reformed national exam taken by hundreds of thousands of students each year (typically in March–April).
Our community at NSF has facilitated thousands of successful peer-to-peer supports each month, helping individuals overcome crises through direct aid like emergency funds, housing assistance, food resources, job opportunities, and emotional encouragement. These collective efforts have built stronger connections, reduced isolation, and sparked lasting hope, with countless members sharing inspiring stories of resilience and renewed stability thanks to the generosity and solidarity of others.

Nepal Rising (Dayeetwa US)
Nepal Rising (Daayitwa US) is a U.S.-registered nonprofit focused on relief, rebuilding, and community resilience projects in Nepal. It emerged after the devastating 2015 Nepal earthquake as a diaspora-led volunteer initiative connecting Nepalis abroad with grassroots efforts inside Nepal.
Scholarship for Education and Enterprise
SEE is sponsoring poor and marginalized students to continue their high-school study living in rural and remote areas of Nepal.
